THE TITLE WITH NO NAME

Hey guys and welcome back to Daily Manna daily, today I have no idea what I’m talking about. I don’t even have a title, its currently labelled ‘the title with no name’, but hopefully by the time I’ve reached the end, I’ll have an appropriate title. Usually the way this works is, GOD will put a specific topic on my heart and the ideas surrounding that topic will just flow out. I’ve been getting ideas, but none that have stuck, that is until this morning. Although right now I’m unaware of the theme, different ideas to write are still coming up. Hopefully by the end of the page, what I’m saying will all come together.
Last week Sunday I spoke at my church for the first time, and I hated it. Although I knew everyone there, just the fact that I was the only one standing and everyone was watching me was pretty daunting in itself. Although I didn’t enjoy myself, it was still a nice feeling. Knowing you’re doing your bit to spread the gospel. When going home, I remembered there’s one thing my dad always likes to say and that’s pray after everything, which I did. I prayed that not just my words but the words of everyone who spoke that day would touch at least one individual’s heart.
I think the best moment is when you have nothing prepared, if I knew exactly what I was going to say that day before hand, I would’ve felt proud that my hard work paid off and I was able to produce a good speech. It would be like I was just memorising a list of words and not allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through me.
When you read about every sermon Jesus did, most if not all where not planned. This allows the Holy Spirit to really be at work. Yes the Holy Spirit can still be at work when you have planned what to say, but there may be a particular message that you are meant to share at that particular time.
When I realised I was going to speak (on the day rolls eyes) I thought, ‘why not go with something easy, my testimony’. It may have started as a testimony but let me tell you, it didn’t finish as such, what I said went in a completely different direction. But this is what happens, you plan for something, but GOD practically says no and takes you some place else, at this point I’m used to it (remember my second blog article).
We shouldn’t be surprised because GOD tells us ‘HIS ways are not our ways, and neither are HIS thoughts our thoughts’ (Isaiah 55:8-9). Sometimes you may want to go a certain way but feel like GOD isn’t answering you or you’re not receiving clarity, this could just simply mean GOD has a different purpose for your life. For example, praying for a promotion at work but GOD wants you to start your own business.
As I go further into this article, I still have no idea on the direction it’s taking, I feel like if I keep typing GOD will just make something appear. I will admit there have been a few times so far that I’ve felt like giving up on this (I know, already), this is because sometimes I feel like how is an imperfect human supposed to write about this perfect being every week, I’m no Jesus. I definitely fit in the category with the ‘unqualified’ individuals.
Moses who asked GOD “who am I that I should go to pharaoh” (exodus 3:11). Gideon told GOD “How can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” (judges 6:15). David was the ‘youngest in his father’s home and a shepherd’, he described himself as “only a poor man and little known”. I am just a girl who still struggles more than I’d like to.
These few individuals and so many more in the bible wouldn’t typically be first pick when it came to having the huge roles they did, this is why GOD tells us HE “does not look at the things people look at” (1 Samuel 16:7). Where we see someone as ‘useless’, GOD sees humility and patience. Even though we may be unqualified, GOD can still do a great work in us, if the story of
Gideon teaches us anything, it would be that GOD can do so much with so little. Also, don’t forget, GOD loves to show us the great power he possesses, so HE will always go for the underdogs and those looked down on to get the glory for HIS great work. When we feel like we can’t do what GOD has called us to do, it’s like we are saying HIS power has limits.
With faith in GODs power, Moses went on to lead GODs people out of Egypt (Exodus 14:31). Gideon defeated the Midianites with just 300 soldiers (Judges 7:22-25). David became one of the greatest kings and was known as the man after GODs own heart (Acts 13:22).
After reading through everything, I’m leaning towards trusting and faith being the theme but I’m still not too sure, it could go either way. As tiring as this can get sometimes, I 100% enjoy it. The flesh may slightly be wining in terms of consistency, but it is definitely something I will not be packing away until GOD says it is done. Sorry its not too long, but it would be great to see some comment on your opinion of the theme.
